The advantage of homemade treats is very clear: baking is fun, you know exactly what’s in it, and it just tastes better (you know that yourself). All cookies must be in an airtight box max 3 weeks preserved or frozen and thawed as needed. So hold ’em Up to one year. And now, have fun cooking for the cat!

vitamin cookies

This recipe is especially useful for cats that are particularly fond of a certain type of treat. It’s an easy way to enter the world of homemade cat treats, because here they are combined! Half of the ingredients are available in supermarkets, the other half can be found in specialist stores. Cat flakes are also used to make unpopular wet food tasty for cats. So they taste really good. The great thing is that you can try many combinations with the preparation method – always with different toppings. But first the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 250g wheat flour (type 405)
  • 200g soft margarine
  • 50g vitamin flakes
  • 50 g cat flakes
  • Egg yolk
  • A few bites of croquettes

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients (except egg yolk and dry food) and put the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Then you roll it out and cut out small cookies – kids can help here too. Finally, brush the cookies with egg yolk and press a piece of dry food on top of the dough. Then it goes into the oven for about 9 minutes at 180°C. Leave to cool and offer.

fish snacks

While every cartoon cat on TV loves fish, that’s not quite the case in real life. Nevertheless, this recipe is particularly suitable for all cats who cannot resist fish. The advantage of this recipe is that the dough does not need to be refrigerated to cool. The preparation is therefore very fast and can also be done in between. Plus, if you like fish, you already have most of the ingredients you need at home. Perfect for a spontaneous baking campaign!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of tuna in water (150g)
  • 250g cornmeal
  • 250g flour (type 405)
  • 60ml water
  • 125ml vegetable oil
  • Salt

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients, knead well and roll out. Then cut out the cookies again and place them on a greased baking sheet. They then remain in the oven at 180°C for a good quarter of an hour until they are crispy. Let the finished treats cool and give them to your fish lover.

Gourmet Poultry Bites

If you read the recipe for the next cat treat, it quickly becomes clear that this is something for connoisseurs. Chicken or turkey can be used as poultry – depending on what the cat prefers. This takes a little more work than the previous Blitz recipe, but your cat will thank you. Again, the food used is available at the grocery store.

Ingredients:

  • 375g of fresh poultry
  • 1 large egg
  • 45ml chicken broth
  • 250g cornmeal
  • 125g wheat flour (type 405)

Preparation:

First, cook the poultry well and let it cool a bit. Then the meat, with a large egg and the chicken broth (water is also possible if you want to avoid salt or if the cat has kidney problems) is minced in the blender and mixed. In a second bowl, mix the cornmeal with the wheat flour. Gradually add the chicken mixture, stirring until a well-moistened homogeneous mass is obtained. Cover the dough and put it in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours. When the time is up, the dough is again rolled out, cut out and the cookies placed on a greased baking sheet. A quarter of an hour at 180°C in the oven then ensures the necessary crispness. Allow the treats to cool before giving them to the cat to test.

Cheese Cat Biscuits

The last recipe is almost a guarantee of cat love. A healthy serving of cheese mixed with a delicious flavor of butter and extra milk will make any cat’s mouth water. You usually have the ingredients for this recipe at home. Preparation is quick and easy. The ideal recipe between the two. And best of all: you can enjoy it with your cat, because there’s nothing in it that a human wouldn’t like. So have fun together!

Ingredients:

  • 125 g cheese (eg Gouda)
  • 150g flour (type 405)
  • 125g softened butter
  • 30ml milk

Preparation:

The cheese must first be warmed. You can do this in the microwave or in a pan on the stove. But be careful not to burn anything. The soft cheese is then mixed with flour, softened butter and milk. Put the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour to cool. It is then rolled out and made into biscuits using moulds. Put the biscuits in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes. Let cool and serve.
