Rivers State Governor, Nyeso Wike has described Senator Rochas Okorocha‘s persecutions as politically motivated.

This is even as he predicted that the APC led Federal Government would also persecute him when he finishes his term as Governor.

Wike disclosed this in Abuja during the dedication of Okorocha’s grand Child.

The immediate former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha has been going through tribulations on the hands of  Security Agents.

At first, the former Governor was arrested by the Imo police command for unsealing a sealed property by the Government in Owerri.

Okorocha who was arrested by the police was released later same day on health grounds after series of calls cum intervention by the stake holders.

While the Senator was still yet to recover from the shock of the arrest, EFCC again arrested him over alleged money laundry while in the office as Governor.

Unsatisfied with the whole incident, the Governor of  Rivers,Wike described the wantom arrests as politically motivated.

It would be recalled that Wike had few months ago invited the said Okorocha to Rivers where he commissioned some of his projects.

An act which was interpreted by many differently.

While some described it as a prelude towards Okorocha’s entrance to PDP having almost lost the grip of the APC in Imo, others viewed it as nothing but a show of friendship between the duo.
