Uzodinma to Know Fate Soon

SUPREME COURT SET TOHEAR CASE AGAINST UZODINMA

As Nigerians and, especially Imolites are still in the mood of celebration, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has set January 11, 2021 for the hearing of a suit instituted by one of Nigeria’s finest legal luminaries, Philip Umeadi (SAN), against the Imo State governor, Sen Hope Uzodinma.

Mr Philip Umeadi is seeking the court to interprete its earlier judgement concerning the Imo State governorship, which the apex court pronounced Uche Nwosu as the rightful candidate of the APC.

Information reaching The Lead Express indicates that the court is now set to hear the long awaited case for the first time on January 11.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has announced the death of one of its own, the President of the Nigeria Christian Graduates Fellowship, NCGF, Prof. Charles Adisa.
In a statement made available to the media today and signed by CAN President, Rev. Samson Ayokunle,Prof. Adisa will be greatly missed by CAN as he will always be remembered for his contributions to the Christian fight for the restoration of the teaching of the Christian Religious Knowledge in public schools, the fight against the controversial RUGA settlements, the Companies and Allied Matters Act, CAMA, and the federal government’s lopsided appointments.

Bishop Emeritus of Orlu is dead

The Bishop Emeritus of the Orlu Catholic Diocese in Imo State, the Most Rev. Gregory Ochiagha, is dead.

This was made known in a statement from the Secretariat of the Orlu Catholic Diocese.

According to the statement which was made available to Lead Express, Rev. Ochiagha died at the Annunciation Hospital in Enugu where he had gone for a medical check-up.

Aged 88, Bishop Ochiagha (rtd) had, for sometime, been battling with minor health issues associated with old age.

He hailed from Mbano in Imo State.
