Ugboma Condemns Soldiers Attack On Mgbala Agwa Community

The honorable member representing the people of Oguta state constituency in the Imo state house of assembly, Hon. Barr. Frank  Onyebuchi Ugboma, has condemned in its totality the recent attack of over 30 soldiers led by captain Balla against the people of Mgbala Agwa, in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state on Saturday 4th April 2020.

Speaking to newsmen at the scene, Barr. Ugboma frowned and condemned in totality the act of the military men, pointing out that, the issue of Sterling Global Oil Services company is not alien to him, adding that he has their records, he further stated that the last time he held a meeting with them, they assured him that they will address every matter as it concerns their host community.

He wondered why the company is still causing problems in Mgbala. Even as he made it clear that what the community is demanding is their right because according to him, Sterling  Global Oil Services Company is a multi-million oil company and the should listen to the host community and keep to the agreement they had with them rather than sending soldiers to harass and intimidate them.

The lawmaker further stated that the management of Sterling Global Oil Services company has refused to implement a single obligation in the Memorandum of understanding they signed with the people of Mgbala,  even as he noted with dismay that one member of the community has been sabotaging the community and working hand in hand with the company.

Barr. Ugboma, however, advised the people of the community to remain calm, assured them of getting to the root of the matter.
