Repent OR Be Buried Like Protesting Youths, Mbaka Warns Nig. Leaders

Published

on

At last, the spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka has called on the leaders of Nigeria to repent or be killed the same way most of the protesting youths were killed and their bodies thrown into the Onyema Valley in Enugu.

This is even as he accused Buhari of being the cause of the protest following his inability to address bad governance in Nigeria.

Mbaka who disclosed this at the celebration of the All Saints mass in Enugu last sunday, made it clear that Nigeria will never remain the same while warning the Leaders to turn over a new leaf or face the wrath of God which is imminent.

Many youths, according to him, are detained in various prisons across the country, arguing that Nigerian leaders should have been in such custody and not Biafra boys.He added: “This country can never be the same again. Few days ago, at Miliken Hill, after New Market, Enugu, people discovered bodies of those that were killed during the recent protest, while families of those young men and women continued searching for them.

“That is why I am telling you that Nigeria can never be the same again. Whether you choose to misunderstand me or not, that is your headache.” The cleric, who had been criticised for his support for Buhari in 2019, after his unsatisfactory first term performance, added: “I know that by the time some of the leaders listen to this message, they will begin to attack Fr. Mbaka. But that is their headache, not mine. One day, enough will be enough.”

He regretted that Buhari, who could have salvaged the situation, had also failed because he surrounded himself with the wrong advisers who “tell lies with NAFDAC number.”

Efforts yesterday to get police reaction on the allegation by the cleric proved abortive, as Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Daniel Ndukwe, did not respond to calls and text messages.

While they were released on Tuesday, news of fresh abductions in the state was received.

The high rate of insecurity in the nation has been a source of concern but all efforts to check the trend have not yielded the desired results.

Recently, President Muhammadu Buhari replaced the service chiefs he appointed in 2015 but insecurity hasn’t stopped under the new service chiefs.

Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi Yobe State, and Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, are some of the schools where gunmen have abducted students in the past.
