Prince Charles Amadi, one of the leaders of Owerri zone has described the December 5th Reception of Imo State Governor as unique given the active participation and involvement of members of various political parties in the reception preparations.
This is even as he attributed the one Billion allegations to Governor Uzodinma during the electioneering to those he described as mischief makers declaring that he had never given any Governor or Governorship aspirant a Billion naira before, Uzodinma inclusive.
Prince Amadi disclosed this to selected media Houses in Owerri last Tuesday.
Speaking on the civic reception of Imo State Governor, slated for December 5, the philanthropist turned politician said that the Uzodinma’s reception is unique in that the organizers cut across party lines pointing out that PDP members, APC, APGA amongst other political parties are charing one committee and another in preparation for the civic reception.
George Eche is of the APC, Senator Chris Anyanwu is of the PDP. Martin Agbaso is of the APGA, and these people among others are charing various positions as committee members he said.
While describing Uzodinma as a lover of Owerri people the oil magnet recalled that before Uzodinma emergence as the Governor of Imo State, he had done a lot for Owerri zone hence the need to give him what he termed a unique reception which according to him will mean a medium of appreciation to the governor.
On the issue of the alleged marginalization of Owerri zone in appointments, he made it clear that Uzodinma gave Owerri zone more and better appointments when compared with the governors that governed Imo in the past.
Virtually, all the governors that ruled Imo in the past are my personal friends, non of them gave our children better appointments than the present administration, he said.
Chavon who used the medium to appeal with Owerri people and Imo people in general to remain supportive of Uzodinma’s led administration rated the government high in all ramifications particularly in the area of durable road construction.
