Leadership of the apex cultural organization of Orlu zone people, Orluzurumee Cultural Union, Orlu LGA chapter has pledged to partner with the Chairman, Interim Management Committee, IMC, Orlu LGA, Hon. Chief Mrs. Nneoma Ifeoma Ndukwu (Ugosinachi) in delivering the dividends of democracy.
In an address signed by Eze-Ikpe Odinaka Emejuru and Mrs. Mmadukwe Kate, Chairman and Secretary respectively and presented to the Chairman in her office Thursday, during a courtesy visit, further eulogized the Chairman for her outstanding performances in the administration of the Council so far and as the Diocesan President, Catholic Women Organization, CWO, Regina Pacis Pastoral Region, Orlu Diocese.
Parts of the address have it ” Your appointment as the Chairman, Interim Management Committee, IMC, Orlu LGA is an eloquent testimony of your sterling qualities of life as a hardworking, dedicated, honest and diligent person.
“Your Excellent records as the Diocesan President of Catholic Women Organization, Regina Pacis Region, Orlu Diocese speaks volumes. We have no doubts in our minds that you will bring to bear these excellent qualities in your pursuit of the Local Government objectives as well as the State at large.
” Orluzurumee is proud of you and happy on your appointment. We wish to extend our best regards to Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma (Onwa Oyoko), the Executive Governor of Imo State for finding you worthy to occupy this enviable position in the Government.
“Our visit today is very crucial as we have members from the various communities in Orlu LGA here with you. Inauguration of the newly elected executive members will soon take place and you will be officially invited as soon as the arrangements are concluded.
“Orluzurumee as an organization is solidly behind you and we will continue to seek your valuable support as we shall remain available to assist you in delivering the dividends of democracy to Ndi Orlu as well as always show solidarity in your political growth”.
In her response, the Orlu Council boss, Nneoma Ndukwu, described Orluzurumee Cultural Union as the most exceptional among all the organizations that have shown her solidarity since her inauguration as the Chairman, Interim Management Committee Orlu LGA last April, just as she noted, ” the address you presented is well articulated and intelligently scripted. I have been hearing of Orluzurumee for a very long time and I believe it is the father of all organizations in the area.
“Looking at the caliber of people that visited, I have no doubt in my mind that you are genuine and those who have resolved to sacrifice for the people. My coming on board as the Chairman of this council is divine as I never lobbied for the position. I believe that my service to humanity is what brought me to his level and I am very humbled for it.
“It has not been easy, having met an empty treasury on the assumption of office, but God has been seeing us through. Thank you for recognizing the ingenuity of our amiable Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma even as he is making sure that our people are carried along in the scheme of things.
“Senator Uzodinma is a man of wisdom with milk of human kindness. He answered our people within a few days of my coming on board when we beckoned on him for the rehabilitation of the Roundabout and the control of the erosion menace near the St. Joseph Catholic Church Umuna which was abandoned by successive Governments before now.
” Soon we will embark on repairs of the failed portions in our roads to alleviate the agonies motorists are going through while plying the roads.
“I will be present during your events. You have my support and your show of solidarity is heartily welcomed.
Highlight on the visit was the presentation of a symbolic gift to the IMC Chairman, Nneoma Ifeoma Ndukwu.
