Ngige denies involvement on re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, as IPOB threatens Igbo Leaders

Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige has denied having hand on the re arrest of the leader of the IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

This is even as the leadership of the IPOB has threatened to deal decisively with Igbo Leaders over their indifference should their leader die in the detention.

Nnamdi Kanu was on the 29th of June arrested in Kenya and repatriated to Nigeria.

While the leadership of the group has taken the matter to the  International Bodies, seeking for the release of the said Kanu, Dr. Chris Ngige who was accused of supporting the arrest of Kanu by the Federal Government had few days ago, denied involvement.

In a release signed by the media and publicity Secretary of the IPOB, Emma Powerful and made available to the Media, the group regretted how the Igbo leaders have shown no interest in the continued detention of Kanu who according to them is a mere freedom fighter while bandits alllegedly begotiate with the Federal Government.

However, the denial of Ngige over involvement on Kanu’s arrest few days after the threat by IPOB has been described in many quarters as a welcome development.
