Mixed reactions have kept trailing the removal of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Adams Oshiomhole in Imo.

The APC national chairman was last Tuesday suspended by court of Appeal and the party has appointed Abiola Ajumobi as Acting Chairman.

While some of the aggrieved leaders of the Imo APC who were shut out by the Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma were reported to have seen the removal of the controversial national Chairman as an avenue for them to make contributions in the party during the next party’s congresses which date is yet to be released.

An inside source from the Rescue Mission Camp revealed to Lead that Senators Rochas Okorocha and Araraume amongst other leaders have been angry with the present administration which hitherto caged them out of both the government and the party as Nlemigbo led caretaker only recognizes the loyalists of Governor Uzodinma who are majorly members of the Camp Hope, a political outfit of the Governor.

The likes of Ararume and Rochas Okorocha as gathered by Lead had before the Supreme Court judgment that removed Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as the governor agreed to support any person that would be favored by the Supreme Court.

Probably in line with the said understanding, Senators Araraume and Okorocha were said to have submitted the names of some of their loyalists to be appointed in the Uzodinma’s new cabinet but were disappointed when the Governor’s appointees were only drawn from the members of CampHope.

Although no reason has been given for the shutout of both Okorocha’s and Araraume loyalists from Uzodinma’s cabinet unconfirmed sources revealed to Lead that Governor Uzodinma rejected the list of Okorocha for appointments on alleged grounds that the said Okorocha was rooting for nullification of the election when Ihedioha approached the Supreme Court to review its judgment that removed him as Governor.

Senator Araraume on the other part was accused of supporting the former Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi amongst others to remove the embattled Oshiomhole from the seat and Oshiomhole by every ramification is a close ally of Uzodinma.

With the above allegations, Uzodinma who probably may want to go a second term appeared to have shut-down any person who may turn to become a stumbling block for his second term ambition.

However, while Oshiomhole is still on suspension, information to Lead revealed that his enemies in the party are working round the clock-to see he does not return until the party conducts its congresses and new leaders would emerge.

In Imo, the leaders of the party are said to have been working round the clock to ensure that their loyalists are accommodated in the next party’s congresses.

Information to Lead further hinted that the Camp Hope which is made up of Uzodinma loyalists has also begun to restrategize ahead of the party’s congresses.

However, while the supporters of Uzodinma mourn the removal of Oshiomhole as the APC National chairman, the other leaders of the party and their teeming supporters see Oshiomhole’s removal as an avenue for them to make inputs in the running of the party anytime, the party calls for its congresses in the state.
