The Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on International Cooperation and the State Coordinator AUDA-NEPAD, Hon Doris Tony-Anyanwu has commended Governor Uzodinma for prioritising youth’s empowerments.
This is even as she enjoined the Imo Youths to see the year’s event as a period to think as well as to ascertain whether or not their approaches to issues of life reflect the tenets of a proud youth of Imo State and Nigeria at large.
Anyanwu who joined her colleagues – the SA on Youths Affairs, Hon Eric Uwakwe and the teeming youths in Imo State in the yearly event to thank the Governor for embarking on aggressive youth empowerments particularly the recent empowerment of fifteen Thousand Imo Youths with Two hundred and fifty Thousand Naira each revealed that Uzodinma indeed means well for the Imo Youths when he describes them as the leaders of Tomorrow.
She however enjoined them to remain supportive of the present administration pointing out that with Uzodinma at the Governor; the future of Imo youths is guaranteed and assured.
The graceful peculiarities of the Imo Youths and the audacious Youths Emphasis being demonstrated by the 3R Government of Shared Prosperity became the major talking points amongst dignitaries and celebrating community, she said.
The Special Adviser and State Coordinator AUDA-NEPAD who acknowledges that Youths and Women Empowerment form one cardinal objectives of the AUDA-NEPAD, took time out to extol the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma for prioritizing Youths Empowerment and reposing so much confidence in the vibrancy, utility, resourcefulness and viability of Imo Youths in his Shared Prosperity pursuits of Good Governance in Imo . Hon Doris Anyanwụ quipped; “The empowerment of 15,000 Imo youths with ₦250,000.00 (Two Hundred and fifty Thousand Naira) each by the Shared Prosperity Government of Imo State under the capable and visionary leadership of Governor Hope Uzodinma speaks volumes about the Youths Emphasis of the Government. It is unprecedented and an eloquent testimony that this Government is NEPAD compliant.”
On the theme of this year’s International Youths Day celebration which was
“Transforming Food System:Youth Innovation For Human And Planetary Health”, the AUDA-NEPAD State Coordinator said that AUDA-NEPAD upholds the very tenets of engendering a deliberate chain reaction by the Empowerment Programs for the Youths as has been witnessed in Imo State.
“Self-reliance is now the key to economic and socio-political emancipation. Thank God for the humane disposition of our Shared Prosperity Governor in both enterpreurship and financial empowerment of our youths.
With the skills acquired and the take-off financial warchest, there is now a triggering of the much needed chain reaction for the post-Covid19 economy of our dear State.
I therefore urge the Youths of Imo State to shun all forms and manners of restiveness and violence.
There are enormous opportunities availed by the Shared Prosperity Government of Imo State. Let the cycle be self- sustaining.
The youths of IMO State can truly live up to the confidence reposed in them”. She charged Imo Youths to use their young innovative minds to proffer solutions to address challenges to our food systems.
Doris Tony-Anyanwu who used the forum to appreticiate the SA Youths Affairs, Hon Eric Uwakwe for the partnership between them on the areas of overlap of portfolios stressed that such is an example of what is called partnership that works.
