… As Advocacy For Justice Demands His Resignation
… Threatens Court Action After Seven Days
Alleged certificate forgery of Imo State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chiji Collins has again resurfaced in Imo as a civil society group “Advocacy for Justice and Accountability” has demanded his immediate resignation from office as the speaker of Imo State House of Assembly.
In a letter dated July 15th, 2020, signed by Mr. Yomi Balogun, the Country Director of the institution and copied to Imo State Governor, Attorney General, amongst others, the group demanded the speakers’ resignation as well as the return of all allowances and emoluments he earned from 2015 to date.
In the said letter, the group made it clear that the Ph.D. which the speaker claims he has is equivalent to Bsc which he used in INEC form C fool.
The group however threatened to go to court within 7 days of serving the speaker the letter and mandates him to harken to the demands of the letter or to face court action.
The Imo Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chiji Collins has been accused of forging PhD by former House of Assembly member, Lawman Duruji, a matter which has been pending in court at the time of filing this report
