Imo Police Parade 2 Female Suspects For Stealing 2year old Baby

The Imo Police command has paraded eleven criminal suspects for various crimes, including two female suspects, Victoria Joseph, a twenty-eight years old woman, and  Joy Ugorji, a thirty-three years old woman for child trafficking / stealing on Tuesday 9th June 2020, at the state police command.

Briefing newsmen, the state commissioner of police, Cp Isaac Akinmoyede, said that, after his inaugural press briefing on the 20th of May, 2020, where he informed Imolites of the command’s plans to rid Imo of crime and criminality, recalling that,  during that briefing, he made it clear that the command shall take the fight against violent crimes to the den of kidnappers and armed robbers. Adding that, he also promised to make Imo too hot for criminals unless they leave Imo or change from their wicked ways. He noted with delight that, these promises they  have kept and are still keeping

Speaking further, he said In view of the above, therefore, he wants to share with the public the tremendous breakthroughs of the Command in the last few days.  he paraded eleven criminal suspects involved in crimes ranging from child stealing/trafficking to kidnapping and so many other crimes.

According to Cp Akinmoyede, on 30th May 2020, operatives of the Anti-Vice Unit of the Command while on stop and search duty, intercepted the above- named suspects with a boy of about two (2) years and on interrogation, they confessed that they stole the child at Kakuano Local Government Area of  Rivers State and brought him for sale. The boy has been safely kept in the motherless babies’ home while effort is being made to locate the parents while investigation is ongoing.

17-Year-Old Girl Loses Her Life to Woman For Accepting Husband’s Proposal

Police command in Kano has affirmed the arrest of a 20-year-old housewife, Suwaiba Shuaibu, for purportedly stabbing one Aisha Kabir to death few days to her wedding.

Aisha was said to have accepted a proposal for union with Malam Shahrehu Alhaji Ali, the spouse of the suspect, before her abhorrent homicide by her to-be co-wife on January 1 at Gimawa village, Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The spokesman, Kano police command, DSP Abdullahion Haruna Kiyawa, who affirmed the incident in a statement issued early Tuesday, said the deceased was pronounced missing on January 1st and her corpse was found the next day in an uncompleted building within her neighbourhood.

According to the statement; “On 02/01/2021, at about 1030hrs, a complaint was received from one Kabiru Jafaru, ‘m,’ of Gimawa Village, Doguwa LGA of Kano State, that the body of his 17-year-old daughter, Aisha Kabir, ‘f,’ who got missing on 01/01/2021 was found in an uncompleted building in their area of residence.

“The complainant said the casualty was suspected to have been stabbed on her neck by her killer(s).

“After getting the grievance, the scene was visited and the body was evacuated to Tudun Wada General Hospital for assessment by a Medical Doctor.

“The Commissioner of Police Kano State Command, CP Habu A. Sani, psc further raised and instructed a team of detectives, led by Divisional Police Officer Doguwa, CSP Bala Shuaibu, to capture the culprit(s).

“The team promptly got the ball rolling and apprehended one Suwaiba Shuaibu, ‘f,’ 20 years old, of the same address with the complainant, who is a second wife to one Shahrehu Alhaji Ali, ‘m,’ also of a similar location.

“Investigations revealed the deceased and the husband of the suspect have been in proposed relationship for over six years and they were to tie the nuptial knot on 9th January, 2021.

Kiyawa said during interrogation, the suspect uninhibitedly admitted that; “she had called the casualty on phone, tricked and lured her to an uncompleted building in their neighborhood where she used a sharp knife to stab her on her neck, chest and other parts of her body.

“She revealed she murdered the victim out of jealousy, because her husband proposed to wed her.”

He said the case has been transferred to the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Homicide Section, for discrete investigation, adding that the suspect will be charged to court once the investigation is completed.

55-year-old man arrested for allegedly raping seven teenagers in Jos

The police in Plateau state have arrested a 55-year-old man, Abdulhamid Sale, pictured above for allegedly raping seven teenagers in Bukuru community of Jos South local government area.

A youth leader in the community, Aliyu Hassan, said the suspect was arrested after one of the mothers of his victim reported the matter to members of the vigilante group in the community.

“The arrest of the suspect came after a report by a mother to one of the victims to the vigilante group in the area that she saw her daughter with a phone and felt that something was wrong.

After a thorough investigation, we found out that the phone was given to the girl by the said Abdulhamid Sale, and further checks revealed that he raped seven girls, mostly 13 years old in Kugiya area of Bukuru, who are mostly hawkers, by luring them with as little as 50 Naira, and small Tecno Phones”Aliyu said

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Gabriel Ubah, said the suspect is in the custody of the police and would be charged to court as soon as investigation into the matter is concluded.

Murdered Mother Of Mbaise Youth Seeks Police Intervention, Accuses Endtime Pastor, Others Of Act

Mrs. Rosslyn Onuachu, mother of a slained Mbaise youth late Chika Onuachu who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by alleged youths of Umuasonye in Umuariam Obowo on Dec. 25 has called on Imo Police Command to arrest suspected killers of her son and bring them to book.

Recall that late Chika Onuachu, an indigene of Okpuala Itu Aguneze Mbaise was allegedly kidnapped and murdered in Obowo by alleged youths of Umuasonye Obowo, while his lifeless body was found in a bush.

Speaking to journalists on the issue, Onuachu told journalists that a Pastor of “End Time Church” in Aguneze Pst. Paul Anyanwu who is now at large allegedly invited his twin brother and other youths from Umuasonye to attack her son.

She said trouble started when the Pastor and her son had misunderstanding over access road leading to the Pastor’s church and the pastor threatened to kill him.

“The pastor use our land to create access road to his church without consulting us and when my son approached him on the issue, he carried out serious threat against my son.

“On Dec. 25, 2020 the pastor who is from Umuasonye Umuariam but reside in Aguneze, invited his twin brother and other youths of Umuasonye, who came and whisked my son away and allegedly murdered him in Obowo.

She said the pastor fled the area on getting the news of the death of her son, while the matter was reported to a nearby police station in Mbaise.

She cried to the Commissioner of Police in Imo and other human right group to help fight the battle and bring killers of his son to book.

She said “I cry for help, I seek justice, he is my only son and bread winner of my family. He was the one taking care of my poor health condition”, she spoke in tears.

Meanwhile, police has been advised not to sweep the matter under the carpet, but to ensure that the alleged Umuasonye youth who carried out the dastardly act should be brought to book.

An indigene of Obowo who spoke on condition of anonymity, told journalists that the youths have been terrorizing the entire LGA with a guise of being a youth body.

He said the youths are responsible for the recent vandalization of a transformer in Umuariam and the issue went viral on social media.

It will be recalled that the same Umuasonye Youths on December 2020 staged a malicious protest against a prominent indigene of Obowo Prince Josua Onyemauche over unfounded allegations.

However, Imo police dismissed the allegations against Prince Josua Onyemauche discribing it as frivolous.

The youths are currently standing a defamatory charge at Ihitte-Uboma High Court on Suit No: HME 61 2020 between Prince Josua Onyemauche plaintiff and Chijioke Onumaeme, Onwuka Uchenna, Anosike Ikechukwu and Anyawu Okechukwu.

Others in the suit are Chijioke Eche, Anorom Hycient, Osuagwu Emeka, Odinaka Mmakwu and Ekezie Ben.

Meanwhile, confirming the report the Imo police PPRO, Orlando Ikoku said that the matter has officially been reported adding that police has commenced investigations.
