Imo PDP In Secret Talk Over Iwuanyanwu’s Romance With Uzodinma

Top leaders of the PDP in Imo have begun to brain storm on the best way to wrestle power from the APC-led government in Imo ahead of the 2023/24 Governorship election in the state.

This is even as they have begun to discuss secretly on the best way to ensure that Iwuanyanwu’s promise to Uzodinma that Owerri zone people would massively vote for him in his second term after apologizing for their failure to support and vote for him in the 2019 Governorship election does not work out.

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu who is presently one  the BOT chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party had during the Civic reception of Uzodinma by Owerri Zone assured him that come 2024, Owerri zone would massively vote for him, after apologizing for their failure for not voting him in the last election.

This utterance of a leader of the party in the zone which did not only go down well with the members of the party in both Owerri zone and Imo was also greeted with varying reactions from the people.

One of the persons who reacted over the said promise by the PDP elder statesman Iwuanyanwu was Uche Onyeagucha who described the said Iwuanyanwu as a betrayal to both the Owerri zone and Imo State chapter of the PDP.

A source from the PDP revealed to Lead that a meeting on the best way to deal with elder Iwuanyanwu was recently held in one of the party’s leaders in Owerri and another one would take place in Abuja by January and after which the matter would be reported to the National Executive Council of the party for onward decision.

The same source further hinted Lead that at the meeting the top-notch members of the PDP who have the recorded voice of the said Iwuanyanwu at the reception which he was the chairman queried his membership of the BOT of the party if he would make such utterances against his own party which he could be adjudged as one of the founding fathers.
