One of the leaders of the APC in Orlu Local Government, Dr. Ikenna Ihezuo has called for more supports for Governor Hope Uzodinma to enable him to move the State beyond the shores of poverty and maladministration.
This is even as he charged the opposition parties in Imo on the need to be constructive in criticizing the government.
Barr. Ihezuo was reacting to bail granted by the media Directorate of Imo State PDP, Ambrose Nwogwugwu who was last Monday granted bail by the court.
Speaking to Lead, the legal luminary who contested for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal constituency in the 2019 election admitted the importance of opposition in democracy adding that such should be done within the ambit of the law.
Ambrose Nwogwugwu was granted bail by the court last Monday after few weeks in the hands of the DSS for alleged defamatory speeches against the Government of Imo State and the Governor himself.
Ihezuo while commending the court and the Government for tampering Justice with mercy called on Imo people to remain supportive of the present administration which he described as divine.
Describing the shared prosperity government of Uzodinma as that which indeed has come to better the lots of Imo people.
Ihezuo enumerated parts of achievements of the Governor to include the intensive fight against the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic which according to him resulted in Imo losing no soul to the epidemic while other states counted losses.
He further pointed out that despite the Rainy season, the present administration has put in place some abandoned roads in the state, while Civil service has undergone drastic changes.
Ihezuo, however, appealed with Imo people to support the present administration to enable it to move the state to that promised land
