Traditional Ruler of Umuna Autonomous Community, in Orlu LGA, HRM, Eze Dr. Douglas Okwara has joined countless Imo people in appreciating the Governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Uzodinma in controlling the erosion problem at St Joseph’s Catholic Church Umuna as well as the attraction of 200 -Bed permanent emergency and infectious disease Hospital for the southeast at Imsuth, Umuna.
Imo State Government had recently channeled the erosion menace which has not only stopped the free movement of human and material resources in Umuna and Orlu Local government in general but eaten up family Houses amongst others.
In a release signed by the Traditional Ruler himself and made available to Lead, Eze Okwara who is the Chairman, Isu Council of Traditional Rulers and the 4th Eze in Okwarachukwu dynasty expressed gratitude to the Governor for coming to the aide of his people pointing out that Umuna people would remain grateful to his administration.
On the attraction of a 200-bed permanent emergency and infectious disease Hospital for the southeast, Eze Okwara noted that the Hospital when operational would provide Imo people access to healthy life as well as job opportunities.
The facility, a joint project of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Seplat Petroleum Development Company which is sited at the Imo State University Teaching Hospital Complex, Orlu is estimated to gulp the sum of $1.2 million on completion. The facility which is expected to serve the entire people of the Southeast in the fight against coronavirus and other infectious diseases will also help to complete the efforts of other health institutions in the zone to provide effective and quality healthcare service delivery.
I am proud, our governor is gradually using his extraordinary leadership skills to strategically position our state to the center stage of national economic and political relevance. While we commend the governor for this monumental achievement, we once again urge our people to show their unflinching support and solidarity to the Hope Uzodimma- led government of shared prosperity.
