While the nation continue to suffer continuous crisis, some gunmen had reportedly abducted three passengers whose identities cold not be immediately ascertained, in a commercial bus in Osu town, along Osu/Ife road, in Osun State.
According to sources, the victims were said to have been abducted around 7:40pm on Saturday and thereafter dragged into the bush by their abductors, who shot indiscriminately into the air after their vehicle had been stopped.
Spokesperson for Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, when contacted, said the abduction of one person was reported to the police.
Opalola further explained that one Rebecca Okunade reported to Osun Division of the Nigeria Police Force that she got a call that her husband was abducted.
She said, “One Rebecca Okunade, resident of Ikire reported at Osu Division on Sunday that on Saturday, at about 7:40pm, she received a call from her husband, one Okunade Yinka.
“According to her, her husband boarded a commercial bus from Akure and on reaching Osu, along Osu/Ife express road by Akere Junction, some gunmen stopped their vehicle and he was kidnapped. Operatives visited the scene of the crime.”
She then said intensive manhunt had been launched by operatives and hunters to rescue the victim.
