Simon Doull has been trending on social media these days for his blunt statements on Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar Azam, during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight.
Babar was criticised by Doull for slowing down to complete his maiden PSL century during the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators on Wednesday.
Babar slapped nine fours and two sixes in a 39-ball 73 against Sultans on Friday, an innings that lifted him to second position on the leading run-getters table with 416 runs.

The Kiwi commentator opened up about his criticism of Babar and said that he wants the Pakistan captain to be best batsman in the world and leave the fab four (Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Joe Root) behind.
“When I talk about Babar, I talk about his intent. I have said it a year ago, forget about fab four, he is the top one for me. He was the best player in the world. This is the sort of tournament he should be dominating in my opinion. It is just an opinion,” Doull said.
“He should be dominating these bowling attacks. Not with a strike rate of 120 or 130. I loved his batting and intent today. That’s my point. I love watching him play. He should be saying to bowlers, ‘I am the Pakistan captain and you get me at your own peril, I will dominate you’,” he added.

Doull was recently trolled by angry Babar fans, who abused him on Instagram for criticising the Zalmi skipper.
The commentator posted a picture of the abusive language used by the troll and said that getting verbally abused for simply giving opinions is not appropriate
