A major cow and other livestock dealer in Avu Portharcourt Road Owerri West Local government area of Imo State Amb. Hassan Adamu Sokoto has stated that their business operations will boost the Agricultural Economy of the state.
Amb. Adamu stated this on Tuesday 26th October,2020 when journalists visited the business environment to ascertain the butchery activities just as it was observed that the abattoir is very clean and friendly to do such business.
Speaking further, Amb. Adamu also averred that they were ready to partner with the state government to promote the Agricultural sector especially in livestock farming.
The United Nations Ambassador for peace in Nigeria thanked the people of Imo State for their hospitality, adding that his father has over the years maintained good relationship with the governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma and other prominent leaders of the state. According to him, “the Imo state government should ensure that livestock farming is encouraged in order to grow the Internally Generated Revenue, “we love to do our business in Imo State because they welcome strangers without discrimination,”
He however called on farmers and Igbo people in general for patronage as way to cement the business relationship as he insisted that peace is needed for businesses to grow, saying that the relationship that has been existed over the years should be maintained. He added that no more crisis between the farmers and herdsmen.
He noted that the Hausa community living in the area has been urged to be law-abiding citizens as they carry out their day to day activities.
