George White hails APC congress in Imo, drums support for Uzodinma

A notable APC leader in Imo state, Hon. Chief George White Iwuamadi, has described the Saturday ward Congress across the 305 wards in Imo state, as very successful and hitch-free.

The new APC convert who hails from Uzoagba in Ikeduru LGA, said the exercise in his own ward recorded huge success and large turnout of members of the party.

The politician, in an interview with journalists, disclosed that worthy and thorough bred members of the party emerged as the executives.

According to him, “members of the party thronged out in their numbers and voted their best executive members.

“You can that the people are happy because the exercise was not manipulated. The people of Uzoagba made their best informed choices, and that’s why they are happy.

“The exercise started as expected and there was no trace of violence because my people are peace-loving and APC-compliant.”

The APC Leader who is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of RIV ISLAND Hotels in Owerri, maintained that the party is worth joining, adding that he was impressed with the manner with which the exercise was conducted.

In the same vein, he called on the people of Uzoagba and Imo state at large to drum support to the shared prosperity government of Senator Hope Uzodinma, describing him as a governor worth his salt.

Meanwhile, members of the party in Uzoagba ward who emerged the new executives were Peter Chimeziri, the chairman who is from Ebikoro Uzoagba, Patrick Akuta (Secretary), Innocent Kelechi (Youth Leader), Priscilla Madu (Woman leader), Goddy Chukwu (Vice Chairman), Uchenna Orihe (Financial Secretary), Boniface Ozoemenam (Treasurer), Kennedy Agwamba (Provost), Asiegbu Obinna (Auditor-General) and Nwaonu Emmanuel who is in charge of Special Duties.

Other dignitaries spotted by our reporter at the venue of the exercise were the immediate past Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour, Hon. Ifeanyi Opara, a community leader, Jude Opara (Shapume) and others.
