Former Gov. Cries To Uzodinma, Demands Return Of Pension law

The least is yet to be seen in Imo following the recent repeal of the former Governors pension law by the Uzodinma’s administration.

While the former governors are robbing minds together on the best way to meet with the present administration to look for a way out, this paper authoritatively gathered that one of the former governors had approached the state government to reconsider its decision over the repeal of the said law.

Governor Hope Uzodinma had last Friday assented to the Bill, abrogating the payment of pensions to former Governors of the state, Deputy Governors, Speakers, and their Deputies.

Imo people both home and in diaspora commended the present administration for assenting to the said Bill which according to them would save a lot of money for the state.

Although the response of the governor was not disclosed to the Lead at the time of filling this report there are insinuations that the state would not go back to its vomit.
