Eze Umuna Commends Uzodinma ON Amendment of Traditional Rulers Law

The Traditional Ruler of Umuna Autonomous Community in Orlu LGA HRM, Eze Dr. Douglas Okwara has commended the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for assenting to the Bill for amending the Imo State of Nigeria Traditional Rulers, Autonomous Communities and allied matter law no 15 of 2016.

This is even as he advised the Governor to disregard dissenting voices who for selfish reasons may rise against what he termed, a timely law.

In a press release signed by the Traditional Ruler himself and made available to Lead, he revealed that with the law, the Traditional Rulers in the State have been exonerated from partisan politics which according to him is against the norms and traditions of the institution and Ezeship stool.

Eze Okwara, who is the chairman, Isu clan council of Traditional Rulers as well as chairman South East Association of Christian Traditional Rulers of Nigeria enjoined all Traditional Rulers to join hands with the Government in repositioning the traditional institution in Imo.
