Ex-students build borehole, 42 sets of lockers in Osun

Some ex-students of the Babalola Memorial Girls Grammar School, Ilesha, Osun State have built a borehole and 42 sets of lockers and benches for the school.

The gesture which came from the former students of the school who graduated in 1978 was commissioned by the Osun State Education Commissioner, Hon Folorunsho Bamisayemi and Chairman of Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Ajibola Famurewa on Wednesday.

While responding to the gesture, Bamisayemi commended the alumni for the donation.

Bamisayemi said, “The noble initiative of the Old Girls will in no small measure contribute to educational development in the State.”

“It is indeed encouraging, laudable, commendable, and appreciated.”

Earlier, the president of 1977/1978 set, Mrs. Dorcas Awokande, said, “We present to the school management of Babalola Memorial Girl’s Grammar School, Imo, Ilesa, and the Osun State government; 50- metre water borehole, 42 units of two-seater lockers & benches.

We thank all our committed members for their efforts at ensuring the completion of these projects. We also thank families, friends, and well-wishers who donated towards the water project.”
