# EndSARS Protest: Fear of Attack Grips Prison Officers, May Boycott Taking Inmates To Court

Fear of the unknown appears to have taken center stage amongst the prison officials in Imo particularly those saddled with the responsibility of taken prison inmates to courts for fear of being attacked by END SARS protesters.

A prior officer in Imo who would not want his name in print confirmed to Lead that leadership of the prisons is planning on the best way to be taken prison inmates to court so as not to be attacked by the peaceful END SARS protesters who have been on protest for some days now demanding total reformation of the police force, scrape of SARS amongst others.

This fear became prevalent following the allegation that the peaceful END SARS protesters pulled down the prison gate in Edo State and asked all the prisoners to leave the cell.

According to the said Imo prison officer, the management of the prison is contemplating whether to put on hold taking inmates to court pending when the protesters leave the streets of Owerri.
