Death of Owerri German Citizen, late Unachukwu appears to have re echoed in Imo as the leadership of the IPOB has again issued order of Sit-at-home, as Imo police again issued a counter directive.
The late Unachukwu, an Owerri Indigene but German citizen was allegedly shot dead by a Nigerian soldier few months ago in Owerri on his way to catch up with flight back to Germany.
Speaking with the Media after the sudden death of the said German, the wife Mrs Unachukwu revealed that the late Husband was aware of the IPOB directive on the sit at Home meant to commemorate the fallen heroes of the Biafra but heeded to the counter directive of the Imo Government as well as the police who called on Imopeople to go about their businesses assuring provision of adequate security.
Some of the Imo people interviewed by Lead expressed fear and confusion over the Institution to take so as to avoid untimely death.
A woman who gave her name as Mrs Ifeoma Njoku, a Civil Servant in Imo expressed confusion whether to stay at home and be queried by the Government or to go to office and risk her life.
The leadership of the IPOB had few days ago, issued a release, ordering for total shot down of all the Institutions markets inclusive in Igbo Land as a mark of anger over the continued detention of their supreme Leader, Nmamdi Kanu.
As contained in the release signed by the publicity Secretary of the group ,Emma Powerful, the sit at home order which starts today, Monday 8 August would be holding every monday until their supreme leader, Nmamdi Kanu is released from detention.
