The members of the All Progressive Congress in Orlu Local Government now operate on what can best be described as sheep without a shepherd following the inability of the party leaders to agree on a particular Local Government Chairman.
This is worrisome as three persons lay claim to the local government chairmanship position and as such conduct meetings on their various camps.
The three persons claiming the seat of the local government chairman of the party are, Pat Oforegbu (Africa), Greg Nwosu and Udagha.
While Africa sees himself as the only elected local government chairman of the APC in Orlu Local Government, Greg Obioha, who emanated through the popular Camp Hope structure sees himself as the only legitimate and recognized Local Government Chairman.
Dr. Udagha on the other side of the coin believes he was a replacement to Africa as the Local Government chairman when the said Africa allegedly joined the coalition Camp that truncated Rochas Okorocha’s plan to install Uche Nwosu as his replacement in 2018/2019.
As it stands, nobody can comfortably and boldly address any of the trios as the chairman of the APC in Orlu, an act which has led to the members of the party working without direction.
While Okorocha believers work with Dr. Udagha as the local Government chairman, the remnants of the coalition members work with Africa as party chairman, and the line up of Governor Hope Uzodinma prefers Greg Obioha as their own chairman.
Available information to the Lead revealed that the scattered leadership of the party in the area has stunted the progress of the party as those who want to join are scared so as not to join the wrong clique.
Some of such persons have therefore resolved to wait until after the party’s congress.
