Covid-19: CAN Directs Lagos Churches to End Cross-over Services at 11pm

The Lagos State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has directed churches to end Cross-over services for the New Year vigil at 11pm on December 31st.
The chapter Chairman of CAN in Lagos State, Bishop Steven Adegbite, gave the directive in a statement made available to the media.

This in in line with the state government’s earlier directive that worship centres in Lagos should suspend night vigils, even as the government has imposed curfew fdom 12am to 4amacross the state to combat the spread of Covid-19.
In order to ensure that churches don’t disobey the rules of government, the state chapter of CAN has, therefore, directed all churches to end their Cross-over Services on December 31 by 11pm to give room for the implementation of the statewide curfew.
