Corporate responsibility: Imo majority leader meets Owerri West Monarchs

Long feud between  FUTO as an Institution and the people of Owerri West as host communities would soon come to an end as the Imo state House of Assembly majority Leader and member representing Owerri West in the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi has interracted with the Traditional Rulers of Owerri West for a way forward.

The meeting which took place over the weekend had in attendance all the Traditional Rulers in the area.

Addressing the Monarchs, Onyemaechi who is also the Chairman,house committee on lands disclosed that the essence of the meeting was for him to rob minds together with the Traditional Rulers on the best way to approach the  federal Establishments in their area with a view of carrying out their corporate responsibilities for their host.

Onyemaechi popularly known and addressed as Egbe ejieje ogu regretted over reports that the federal Establishments in the Lands which include Futo,Coca cola,Customs amongsts others have relegated from their corporate responsibilities to their host.

Recall, that few weeks ago, same House member in same effort to better the lots of the people of Owerri West, appealed with Imo state Governor, senator Hope Uzodinma to come into the boundary squabble between the people of Owerri West and that of the Owerri Municipal.

In the said meeting, Kanayo decried over what he termed collation of revenues from the establishments on the Lands of Owerri West by their sister Local Government, the Owerri Municipal.

Egbe who used the forum to call on the Governor to give jobs to his constituents disclosed the readiness of the people to remain supportive of the current administration.
