Buratai hands over mantle of Leadership

Recall that the Government of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari accepted the resignation of the service chiefs who were appointed into office since 2015.

He also appointed new service chiefs who will take over the position, to carry on the duties of their predecessors.

After a distinguished and meritorious service to the nation, Lieutenant General TY Buratai officially handed over the mantle of leadership of the Nigerian Army to the new Chief of Army Staff, Major General I Attahiru, at the Army Headquarters, Abuja, on 28 January 2021.

So many reactions has sprung up on the social media, some worried at the possibility of a better nation, when the appointment did not get senate approval as a way to ensure the right process of appointment in that position wherein they new service chiefs now occupy.

The citizens of Nigeria wish the new service chiefs a good stay in office and believe that they will utilize the opportunity in their hands to curb the insecurity menace in the country.
