Attempted Murder: Man In Police Net For Attempting Killing 3 Kids in Okigwe, Accuses Them Of Being Behind His Hardship

Imo Police Command arrested a 45-year-old man for the attempted murder of his three children who he accused of responsibility for his hardship.

In a press release signed by the police PPRO, Godson Ikeoku and made available to Lead.

The Imo state police command has arrested a forty-five (45)years old man,  Mr. Ochieze Chinedu who hails from Isiala Ngwa, but resides in  Aboh Umulolo in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo state attempted murder assault and occasioning harm on his three children, this piece of information was contained in a press statement made available to newsmen in Owerri, on Thursday 30th of April 2020, from the Imo state police command through the command’s police public relations officer, Sp Ikeokwu Godson Orlando.

According to the information, on the 26th of April 2020, Based on credible intelligence,  operatives of the command stormed Aboh Umulolo in Okigwe Local Government Area and arrested  Mr.   Ochieze Chinedu a  45 years old man,  a native of  Isiala Ngwa and his three children Success a 12 years old girl, Richard an 11 years old boy, and Confidence a girl too were rescued in the process.

It further disclosed that Preliminarily investigation revealed that he kept his children in chains and locked them up in a shop,  and goes to hit the kids with a hammer intermittently claiming that they are the architect of his misfortune.

Sp. Ikeokwu said that, the  children  have been rescued  and taken to the hospital  for treatment, and the suspect will be prosecuted accordingly.
