Anene Hails Uzodinma Over Repeal Of Pension TO Past Governors Law

Published

on

The Lioness of Oguta LGA, a pragmatic stateswoman and an advocate for good governance “Princess Calista Anene”, has applauded and lauded His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for his prompt intervention to ensure the signing into law, the Executive Bill to amend the establishment of the State  University of  Agriculture and Environmental Studies Abor/Okpala, (Establishment) law No_4. Which accorded provisions for the relocation of the aforementioned State  University of Agriculture & Environmental Studies, from Aboh Mbaise to Umuagwo, approved by the Nigerian University Commission(NUC), as the best and most conducive location for the establishment of the aforesaid prestigious State  University, which stands to be the centerpiece of attraction to foreign investors.

In addendum, while extolling Gov.Hope Uzodimma for this meritorious Executive cum legislative action he undertook, that restored the vested interest of Imolites in the forefront and curtailed the hijacking of this proposed State University, that was eventually affirmed to be established in a  lopsided and isolated area in Aboh Mbaise, according to the Bill passed and lobbied by the 8th Assembly, under the aegis of Gov. Emeka Ihedioha, at the ab initio.

Hence, Princess Anene, the hope of the younger generation, blessed with a sense of decorum, ‘who believes’ in transparency, fairness, and equity, acknowledges the transparency of this led government Of H.E Gov Hope Uzodinma, and hereby gives kudos to His Excellency, His Cabinet and the entire Imo State Lawmakers.

Consequently, the woman of generational impacts eulogizes Gov. Hope Uzodimma, as he facilitated the  Executive Bill signed into law, to amend the controversial Bill that was characterized by loopholes, which could be described as “a bill of attainder”, in the right sense of rationality. Which is now inconsequentially justifiable to repositioning the establishment of the proposed State  University of Agriculture & Environmental Studies, to a  landmark. Therefore, she opines that it is a  welcome development, that will pave the way for the advent of Agro-allied industries in the State.

Moreover, the staunch effeminate supporter of good governance, “Princess Anene”, who rallies Imolites support for governor Hope Uzodimma, geared towards the cleansing of ghost workers in the Civil Service Commission, also commends  His Excellency, Gov. Hope Uzodimma for signing into law the bill that scrapped the pension of past Governors and State House, Members. While appraising him for appointing Hon. Goddy Esom Obodo, as the General Manager of Adapalm, on that note, she reassures  Imolites that the noteworthy appointments of His Excellency, Gov.Hope Uzodimma, and his Executive cum legislative decisions taken soo far, will enable  His led government to deliver on its mandate of(3R): Reconstruction, Recovery, and Rehabilitation.

Long Live H.E Gov Hope Uzodinma!

Love live the good people of Imo state!

Farmers/Herders clash: “pass anti-grazing bill”, SDP advises state government.

Published

on

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has advised State governments to pass the Anti-Grazing Bill into Law to tackle the constant farmers/herders conflicts across Nigeria.

The Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Alfa Mohammed, gave the advice in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.

Also he urged the state governors to set up Ministries of Internal Security and Conflict Resolution to deal with the activities of aliens in states.

In his words, “It is high time the [governors] start taking bold steps toward securing the lives of their citizens who are being kidnapped, raped, maimed or killed on a daily basis by marauding Fulani herdsmen who are mostly foreigners.

“The governors must remind themselves that the 1999 Constitution makes security and welfare of the people the primary purpose of their governments and confers upon them Chief security officers of their various states.

“This makes them accountable for security lapses suffered by their subjects in their various states.”

Mohammed also added, “The Governors’ Forum should set up an investigative panel to investigate, among other things those who are responsible for the unrestrained influx of foreign bandits and herdsmen into Nigeria in the last 6 years.

“So that any ethnic leader who’s found to be aiding criminality among his people can be replaced and prosecuted.”

Mohammed also lauded state governments who have taken bold steps to establish their local security outfits and pass the Anti-Open Grazing Bill.

Recall that some states, for instance Oyo and Benue, have passed the Bill into law already.
