Again Anokam Warns Better Life Estate To Stay Away From FUTO Land

The Attorney to the Federal  University of Technology(FUTO) host communities, Chief Sam Anokam has reacted to the news making the rounds both in the Traditional Media and the New Media platforms perpetuated by sponsors of Better Life Estate, Swiss Fountain   Homes which reads “Better Life Estate affirms ownership of property along Obinze/Owerri – pH Express says: Anokam’s advertorial should be disregarded.

In his words “the truth of the matter is that Swiss Fountain Homes has no title over the land for the purported Better Life Estate.

Anokam made it clear that the Land of his clients over 1000 hectares was acquired by the Imo State  Government and was given to FUTO  since 1982.

Addressing newsmen in Owerri last Tuesday, the Estate valuer maintained that he has been at the forefront, championing the agitation to get the land excised and given back to the customary landowners.

Meanwhile  “the process is not completed  as at now, notwithstanding that the federal government has as well a memorandum of understanding  (MOU)which the communities have signed together with him as the Attorney.

Though FUTO has not  signed their own and we are still talking with the institution and there is tremendous  progress” he said

The Ihiagwa born Land manager also said that the area of the Land in question was designated for FUTO  Teaching  Hospital.

As a government  land by acquisition, no customary landowner within the communities  that own the land  customarily  can claim ownership and sell the same government  property

Therefore,” for the Swiss Fountain  Homes spokesperson, Mr. Egwu Samuel to claim that they have entered into an MOU with the landowners is a blatant lie and deceitful.

Any MOU they entered into with the communities is fraudulent, aimed at defrauding people because the Radical Title to the land is vested with the government, not on the customary landowners”

He made it known that Swiss  Fountain Homes do not have  any radical title vested on them to give to  the buyers even though with the alleged MOU, they claimed they have with the landowners

He pointed out that the customary Land Owners do not have the land, so they cannot legally give out lands except when the excision process is completed and the land title is restored and reverted to them” in that case they can have a valid  agreement or  MOU with anybody, but for now, the customary  Land Owners otherwise known as FUTO Host Communities can not do so” he opined

The Former Imo State Water Development Authority (IWADA) Chairman, warned Swiss Fountain Homes to desist from defrauding the unsuspecting  public on a project he termed a failure and fraudulent scheme”What do they know about the Obinze_Owerri Port Harcourt  Express Road Land or the entire FUTO host communities land spanning from Avu to Ogbeke,l am  the Attorney to the host communities, that has been discussing with the Federal Government, lmo State Government and FUTO,l know much more than anybody else about  the Land in question

Anokam warned Swiss Fountain Homes to stop taking money from people on the project she knows that she cannot realize.

It would be recalled that the Principal Partner, Anokam, and Associates, Chief Sam Anokam has been on the struggle for years to excise some parts of FUTO  land to the customary Landowners who have been adversely affected by land acquisition.
