…Aggrieved Members Set To Drag Ihedioha TO Court
…Accuse Him Of Hijacking Party Congresses
Ahead of 2023/2024, elections in Imo, aggrieved PDP members in Imo have concluded plans to drag the immediate former Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha to court while accusing him of hijacking both the wards and LGA’s congresses held a few months ago in the state.
Imo State Chapter of the PDP had around March held both their wards and Local Government Congresses.
Speaking with weekend Lead, one of the Leaders of the party who would not want his name in print said that all the necessary arrangements to challenge the party’s congress in Imo had been concluded adding that they are waiting on the courts to resume to begin the necessary legal actions.
According to the speaker, Ihedioha allegedly selected the names of his core loyalists for various positions at both the wards and LGA’s an act which according to him resulted in many of the party’s faithful leaving the PDP for the APC.
He further accused Ihedioha of planting his loyalists in the twenty-five local governments out of the twenty-seven local governments in the state.
According to the speaker Ihedioha allegedly hijacked the party’s congress and structure to run for another election in 2024 after given the tickets for two consecutive times between 2015 and 2019.
He made it clear that another person should be tried with the party’s guber ticket in the next election adding that Imo PDP does not belong to one man.
